Operation of Emergency Disaster Management Coordination Centers
Health awareness campaigns can increase the awareness of people in the rural parts of the country about disaster and health awareness. However, to improve the attitude of the community about delivery of palliative care services, more sustained efforts are required to make them believe that palliative care can be provided by community volunteers also and not necessarily only by professionals. CIS organized health awareness campaign at the 8 divisional areas each month where more than 50 persons came to the health campaign. At the health campaign people came to take suggestion health awareness, mental health, nutrition and during disaster and post disaster health related activities. Total 6,208 beneficiaries got the health related awareness.
